An international freight forwarder is usually entrusted by a customer to complete a certain or all related links in the transportation of goods, either directly or through his hired forwarders and other agencies, or by using his overseas agents to provide services. Its main services include:

1. On behalf of shipper (exporter)
(1) Select the route and mode of transportation and the appropriate carrier; (2) to provide pick-up and shipping space for selected carriers; (3) Take delivery of goods and issue relevant documents; (4) packaging; (5) storage; (6) Weighing and measurement; (7) to apply for insurance; (8) Go through customs declaration and documents after the goods arrive at the port, and hand over the goods to the carrier; (9) To pay freight and other expenses; (10) receive the issued original bill of lading and pay it to the shipper; (11) Arrange transshipment of goods; (12) Inform the consignee of the status of the goods; (13) Record the loss of goods; (14) Assist the consignee to claim compensation from the responsible party.

2. Representing the consignee (importer)
(1) To report the movement of commodities; (2) Receive and review all documents related to transportation; (3) Take delivery and pay the freight; (4) Arrange customs declaration, tax payment and other expenses; (5) Arrange storage during transportation; (6) Deliver the cleared goods to the consignee; (7) Assist the consignee in storing or distributing the goods.

3. Other services
